The Watchmakers Yard, Earlsdon is a 7,308 sq.ft. plot located off the Earlsdon Highstreet and currently contains fourteen derelict garages. Working alongside British architects, AT, the project provides an opportunity to transform the derelict plot into a gated community for five homes with sustainable landscaping.

The five homes will create 3,982 ft2 of living space and be a mixture of 2/4 bedroom units. At the front of the site there will be a Victorian style end of terrace house, arranged over three floors to help bring continuity and balance to the street scene. The other four homes are located to the rear of the site and have a slick contemporary aesthetic with respectful hints of traditional materiality. Grey aluminium facias, warm timber cladding and contemporary curtain wall glazing at the front of the units create a modern style of home. The open plan Kitchen/living rooms will look onto the private gardens at the front of each unit whilst the sawtooth roofs are a nod to the areas Watchmaking Factory roots.
